SFMA committees give members a practical way to become more involved in South Florida’s manufacturing community. Committee members collaborate with peers, contribute ideas to SFMA initiatives and help support programs that serve manufacturers and industry partners across the region.

For members looking for more than event attendance alone, committee participation can turn occasional connections into ongoing working relationships. It can also create opportunities to strengthen your organization, share experience, learn from other professionals and contribute to the association in a focused, hands-on way.

Why join an SFMA committee?

Serving on a committee is one way to make your SFMA membership more active and more connected. Depending on the committee, members may exchange ideas, support association initiatives, share subject-matter expertise or help strengthen programs that serve the regional manufacturing community.

What does committee participation look like?

Each committee has a different focus, and meeting schedules vary. As of September 2026, several SFMA committees publish recurring virtual schedules, while others list current meeting dates on the live event calendar. Because schedules can change, members should confirm the latest details before attending.

The best fit is usually a committee that aligns with your professional experience, business priorities or an area where you want to contribute more actively. The examples below highlight selected active SFMA committees and current public details.
