Matthew Rocco
President
As President of the SFMA, Matthew’s experience spans more than 10 years in the corporate arena, higher education, and in the non-profit sector. Matthew served as SFMA President from 2017 to 2021 and has now resumed this role in 2023. He has served in various leadership positions, managed complex projects and programs, worked with employers to create customized workforce programs for their companies, and created partnership opportunities in the business community. He brings an excellent mix of expertise and a passion for helping manufacturers to his new role.
Prior to becoming SFMA President, Matthew was a Board of Director for the SFMA while he worked at Broward College. Matthew is excited to be back in South Florida working hard on behalf of all manufacturers in South Florida. Matthew is a native of South Florida and in his spare time, he enjoys mentoring young individuals to help them succeed in every aspect of their lives, attending symphonies, loves cooking and exploring new cuisines to try, and enjoys giving back to the community. Matthew is also an avid University of Miami Hurricanes Football Fan.
Matthew serves on the Board of Directors for organizations such as the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Economic Development Council of South Miami Dade.

Lisbeth Pena
Member Experience and Development Manager
Lisbeth Peña has 10 years of administrative experience in both private and non-profit sectors. She recently relocated from Boston, MA, where she supported the C-Suite at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. She has worked in many different industries and is excited to join the manufacturing industry.
She earned her Associates of Arts in Accounting at Broward College and shortly after completed her Bachelors is Business Supervision and Management at Broward College as well. Lisbeth is looking forward to working with all current and new members of SFMA and contributing to their success.

Eve Crowley
Office & Events Manager
Eve’s professional journey has been marked by a strong emphasis on project management and process optimization. She is passionate about driving continuous improvement within SFMA and constantly seeks opportunities for growth and development. In fact, Eve successfully ran her own business since 2019, leveraging her expertise in project management tactics and hospitality management principles to help individuals and organizations achieve their objectives. Educationally, Eve holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florda International University, specializing in mega events with many of her studies focused on internal and external client retention. She looks forward to internally improving processes and coordinating engaging events for the SFMA family.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Eve enjoys exploring different parts of Florida in her free time. Whether it’s discovering hidden gems or relaxing at the beach with her husband, she finds inspiration and rejuvenation in the natural beauty of her surroundings.

Micah Daugherty
FloridaMakes / SFMA Business Advisor
Micah “Doc” Daugherty is a FloridaMakes Business Advisor working with the South Florida Manufacturers Association. He started his career at Weirton Steel Corporation in Weirton, West Virginia, where he spent 15 years and served as a Regional Sales Manager for Tin Mill Products, Operations Planning Supervisor, and Metallurgical Technician. He moved to Florida in 2003 and started his own steel trading and consulting business. Through the ownership and operation of this business, Micah gained extensive knowledge on international business, sales and marketing, supply chain management, and the import and export process.

Fernando Mendoza
Business Advisor
Fernando is a FloridaMakes Business Advisor working with the South Florida Manufacturers Association. He started his career with PepsiCo and ITW in the Venezuelan manufacturing industry, moving to New York in 2009 to earn a master’s degree in Management of Technology at NYU. In New York City, Fernando served as Director of Process Improvement for one of the largest digital & printed media companies in the US, as well as co-founded two energy efficiency companies focused on resilience and meeting state and local mandates. With over 13 years of experience, he specializes in developing effective solutions for small and medium sized businesses to gain efficiencies and integrate technology with operations, promoting local growth, safety culture and quality above all.

Ana Maria Rodriguez
Business Advisor
Ana Maria Rodriguez is a FloridaMakes Business Advisor working with the South Florida Manufacturer’s Association. She started her career working for the US Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency, where she worked for 12 years. She later went to work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where she worked for the Department of Agriculture, then the Department of Commerce where she was responsible for new business development and international business. Later, Ana Maria, turned her attention to supply diversity, working with major food retailers including Ahold USA, Albertsons, SuperValu, and Wal-Mart where she was the Director of Supplier Diversity.
After leaving corporate America, she has spent the last 17 years focusing on business development in multiple sectors including manufacturing, distribution, and the service industry. She specializes in helping small and medium sized businesses to grow their businesses both domestically and internationally.
