VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

The SFMA is proud to recognize the outstanding volunteers and supporters who dedicate their time, expertise, and energy to advancing our mission through the 2026 Volunteer of the Year Award. The runner-up and winner will be announced during the SFMA Annual Meeting dinner program on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines.

Eligibility:

1. Nominees should be employees of SFMA member companies in good standing. Individuals who are not employed by an SFMA member company may still be eligible if they meet the volunteer requirements described in Eligibility Item 2.

2. Nominees must qualify as SFMA volunteers. A volunteer is an individual who serves in the SFMA in a non-paid capacity, including those who:

· Serve on an active SFMA committee;

· Participate as Manufacturer of the Year examiners;

· Volunteer at SFMA events;

· Present an SFMA webinar or educational program; and/or

· Serve on the SFMA Board and contribute beyond their regular Board responsibilities by leading programs, supporting initiatives, or giving back to the association

 

Who Can Submit a Nomination? Anyone may submit a nomination, and self-nominations are welcome.

Evaluation Guidance:
Nominees will be evaluated based on their contributions from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Nominations should focus on the Nominee’s volunteer service and impact during this period.
Each nominee will be judged on a four-part criterion:
(1) Volunteer Contributions,
(2) Impact on the SFMA & Members,
(3) Leadership, Initiative & Commitment, and
(4) The Overall Case for Recognition.
